Recently Brent Ozar decided to tell everyone about the ads he has been putting on his site. He and I had talked about it before his blog post, and I have had some ads on my site for about a week now. And, like Brent promised, I made four, check it out!
Yep, that’s right. Soon I will be sitting on a beach somewhere, all thanks to Google ads. Thanks Brent! By the time we meet again I should be able to buy you some candy, but that would cut deep into my retirement fund.
Speaking of which, I wonder if I could somehow set up a way to fund my 401k 301k 201k 101k with adsense revenue. In fact, maybe everyone in America should start a blog, put Google ads on it, and use that in order to fund our Social Security accounts. That way we could have Google run our estate after we reach a certain age. They could build these cool retirement homes where the food is free and we surf the Intertubz all day and play Wii all night. And by doing so they would take the burden off the Federal government.
I think it is about time we see if Google is patriotic enough to do the right thing here. Call your local members of congress today and tell them that you want GoogleCare when you retire!
It’d be even better if we could see what the $.04 ad was for. Probably the Bacon of the Month club.
