With Deep Learning it would be possible for a machine to analyze enormous amounts of data, data that it could collect itself without any human intervention. The tasks we use to collect data, eg. going to google and type the words “Chihuahua images”, who is to say a machine could not learn to do that on its own? There is no magic, specific to human intelligence, to collecting data from the internet.

Machines are now being fed thousands of movies to get a feel of human behavior, ethics, morals etc. This is in an effort to build an “intelligent” entity who will be able to tell the difference between right and wrong. Is the perception of right and wrong going to be the same as ours?

We have opened Pandora’s box.
