I am trying to implement something almost exactly the same, and I put together a script similar to yours, but I have run into a problem. The server version is SQL embedded, which means I can only connect via named pipes, and putting an instance name for the server object does not work. Do you have any idea whether the smo server object supports connecting via a pipe rather than an instance?? I tried google, but it. Just kept taking me to the definition of the object, and round and round I go :).

Put the more outgoing / confident person on the slides and have the more technical guy doing the grunt work.

The story guy can still be involved during the demos, but it means you’re not both trying to do the same job.
