Next Wednesday at 12PM ET I will be doing a product demo for Confio Software, same as I do for many Wednesdays during the year. However this one is going to be slightly different. When we were scheduling the events for the month of November I noticed I was selected for the one right before Thanksgiving week. When I saw the date my mind went into a different gear and the words came out of my mouth before I could stop them:
“Can we do a fundraiser? Somehow find a way to raise money for a local food bank in Boulder, since it is so close to Thanksgiving?”
The answer came back as “Yes. Yes we can.”
For every person who attends the demo next week Confio Software will donate $5 to Community Food Share, which operates a local food bank in Boulder. I couldn’t be more excited to help raise money for a local charity, and I hope to see Confio do more events like this one. Actually, I’d like to see more vendors take on the mantra of “Think globally, act locally”, especially during the holiday seasons and cold winter months.
Together we can make a difference, one small step (or click) at a time.
