At the 2008 PASS Summit something magical happened. It was there at the Summit, during the keynote, when I truly understood the power of Twitter. Until then I really didn’t see Twitter as anything more than a way to pass time with your friends.
I remember being on Twitter with what seemed like about at most ten other folks in the room and at some point I saw that Donald Farmer was asking questions of the audience. Yeah, just as he is about to go on stage, Donald asks the few of us that are on Twitter what things we would like to see more (or less) of during his demo.
It was amazing, truly. I had never seen anything like it before. Imagine being able to get immediate feedback that would help make your presentation better? Who wouldn’t want that?
Of course since then I have seen the power of Twitter many times over.
But you always remember your first.
