I wrote a book and it was published in early 2010. In the time since that book was written I have had well over one hundred people come up and say “thank you” to me for putting down into words the very same things they see and feel every day as a DBA. I wanted to write the book that I wish had been written and handed to me when I became a DBA, and I think we got very close to that with DBA Survivor.
At the 2010 PASS Summit my book was on the table in the bookstore. Seeing my book sitting there was amazing, something I won’t soon forget. I am very fortunate to have been given the chance by Apress to write such a book. I’d like to think that I can string together a sentence or two from time to time, but I really never imagined I would ever write a book.
But there it was.
