Speaking: June 16th Webinar on Advanced SQL Server Memory Management

I’m going to tell you something I want you to remember: Next week I am having a webinar regarding memory.

On June 16th at 2PM ET I will be presenting “Advanced SQL Server Memory Management Troubleshooting”, and you can register here. For a description of the talk, read this:

“Join Sr. SQL Server DBA Thomas LaRock, a.k.a. @SQLRockstar, for this live presentation. Tom will walk you through every possible question you need to ask yourself when faced with suspected memory problems. He’ll also run through the Troubleshooting Memory Errors Hot Sheet. Don’t even think about purchasing more memory until you’ve covered each of the seven steps.

This session will help you avoid spending money on unnecessary hardware enhancements, plus you’ll also see how efficient memory configurations improve overall SQL Server performance in your environment.”

Hot sheet? Yeah, that’s right, I have a “hot sheet” for memory management. Most folks would call it a cheat sheet, and some just call it a checklist. But I am not like most people. And since I see MANY clients that have mis-configured memory settings my sheet is “hot” because I am always having to reach for it. Well, you would think that if I had to reach for it so often that I would know it by heart, right? Did I tell you this was a webinar on memory management?

Tune in next Thursday to find out more about how to properly configure your database servers memory settings, how to quickly diagnose if you are having memory issues, and what you can do to avoid spending unnecessary money on additional memory.

  1. Hi,
I came across your blog and I was wondering whether I can get the contents of the webinar you had on memory management for SQL Server.
