I frequently use information_schema views as against sysobjects/sys.objects. I also use information_schema to generate scripts. Do you recommend using sys.objects over info_schema views?

In reply to Claire. Claire, You are correct, but for those folks still running SQL2000 (and there are more than you might think), they would need sysobjects. That's why this blog series mentions both old and new.

Do you need to bother with sysobjects at all if you have 2005+? Won’t sys.objects show you everything you need to know?
