I have enjoyed all the speculation regarding my new position; people like to guess where I am going and what I will be doing. A couple of people have remarked that they are curious to know more about what job would be so enticing to lure me away.
I promised to reveal more details, so here are some clues: The job title is Senior DBA, I will be attending TechEd, and I did not accept a position with Microsoft.
Leave a comment if you want to take a guess.
That rules out my guess of “cookie taster” at Pepperidge Farm.
I didn’t know they were looking for someone!
Well, I’d figured Sigfried & Roy’s Fluffer was a sure bet. Guess not. Though you could be Brent Ozar’s Fluffer, but that’s a Junior position I’m sure.
Senior DBA of Lady Gaga fanclub -I think you recently gave us a clue during 24HOP by playing her record in the interval.
I think DBA stands for “Deep Bacon Appreciator” in this case. The most likely organization would be Karaoke Enterprises Unlimited in the Jeager Division. 🙂
Senior designer for the Buck Woody Bobblehead Team?
You will be working in the Bacon Engineering and Critical Online Notification (BACON BEACON) services team of Tyson Foods. Thanks for helping make bacon delicious. 🙂
I didn’t know booth babes doubled as DBAs. Economy is rough…
Senior DBA at Hickory Farms?
base pay + all the meat by products you can carry in your vehicle?
Senior DBA…Dubious Bad Ass!
Sounds like the consensus is you’re going into a food related industry. I’ll go the other way and put you in alternate energy concern – probably solar.
I wouldn’t hazard to guess, but I do know that no matter the job SQLRockstar would be the best at it. Many many congratulations! Okay, one guess: Duel role of DBA & Player consultant for the Boston Bruins? 😉
I think your going to be a Senior Jaeger Drinker at Bender’s in Denver.
I’ll go with Solid Q for my guess.
My Guess….Going to join SAP?
New Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher at Hogwart’s?
Awesome Trevor, thanks for the laugh. I hope you are doing well. I’ll come back into town one night in a few weeks for a happy hour after work, let me know when you are around.
