Looks like I had an excerpt from my book published over at CTOEdge.
The excerpt includes my “shards of broken glass comment” with regards to merge replication. The exact context is as follows:

Yeah, the book *was* fun to write.
Good quote, I might have to re-use that analogy. I also like, “Sure, you can stick a fork in your eye. But would you really want to.” Which I usually use when clients ask if Log Shipping is the best solution for populating reporting databases.
