Book Review: The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership

I recently finished this book and wante to share it with everyone. John C. Maxwell has written other professional development and leadership books. If you are familiar with his other works, and liked them, then you will like this one as well. The book is an easy enough read and Mr. Maxwell does a great job with weaving stories in the pages in order to reinforce the point he is trying to assert. After reading this book I wanted to go out and learn more about Teddy Roosevelt. I won’t tell you why, because I want you to read the book to find out for yourself.

The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership: Follow Them and People Will Follow You

Many of the “Laws” discussed were idea that I have already come across at one time or another. The power this book has for me is that it will serve as a handy reference going forward. I hope it can do the same for you as well. At one time or another you will need help with one or more of the “Laws”, be it Influence, Connection, Respect, or Solid Ground.

I have added the book to my Book Review page at https://thomaslarock.com/sqlserverbooks/, inside of the Professional Development section.

  1. Thomas, you have found one of my all-time favorite authors and books! Maxwell is a great communicator, keeping it simple for all of us. And as he points out in some of his talks, it’s not that these ideas are so brilliant that nobody else knows them, it’s just that most people don’t DO them.

    Happy reading and continued growth!

    • Thanks for the great feedback.

It amazes me when I see that answers have been in front of me all along, and I chose to do nothing. His book helped to open my eyes to a lot of the little things, and those little things can make a big difference.
