Back in January we decided that we wanted to change they way people viewed the PASS Special Interest Groups (SIGs). There were a handful of motivations for this; the creation of semi-autonomous websites, aligning the SIGs with PASS Chapters, and reducing the need for any PASS member to ask “What, exactly, is a SIG?”
The idea was to go forward with a branding of the SIGs as Virtual Chapters. This week that vision became a reality. And while our journey took a little bit longer than expected we are all glad to have made it to this point. But there is more work to be done, and in the coming weeks we will continue to make improvements on how the Virtual Chapters will enhance your PASS experience.
I want to take a moment to thank everyone that has made this possible. Most notable would be Blythe Morrow at PASS HQ. Blythe is the Community Coordinator for PASS and works tirelessly on our behalf. Without her efforts we would not be where we are today. Thank you Blythe!
When you are at the PASS Summit this year please stop by the PASS booth and thank Blythe in person for all that she does for PASS.
