I am reposting this earlier entry to remind people about this event tomorrow morning.
Who wants a free breakfast? What’s that? Nothing is free? Correct, and technically neither is this because you have to be attending the PASS conference next month in Seattle.
So, if you are attending PASS next month you can register for an event sponsored by Quest software. The event is titled “Automating DBA Processes for SQL Server 2005/2008” and is hosted by the following experts:
- Allen White, SQL Server MVP and Trainer for Scalability Experts (moderator)
- Kevin Kline, SQL Server MVP and Technical Strategy Manager, Quest Software
- Buck Woody, Program Manager, SQL Server, Microsoft
- Dan Jones, Product Manager, SQL Server, Microsoft
- Thomas LaRock, Database Engineering Lead, ING Investment Management
- Charley Hanania, Production Product Owner, SQL Server, UBS
- Brent Ozar, SQL Server Domain Expert, Quest Software
Why am I on the list? Good question. In the spirit of the Presidential debates, I am going to ignore that question and answer a completely different question.
Yes, I like pudding, especially if it is wrapped in bacon.
There, I hope that clears everything up.
If you want to meet me, and want to share a meal, you must RSVP for this event. Actually, even if you don’t want to meet me, or eat a free breakfast, you still must RSVP. And judging by the other names on the list above, it will be worth getting out of bed for the early start time.
Here are some details:
When: Thursday, November 20, 2008
7:00 – 8:30 a.m. (breakfast served until 7:30)
Where: Seattle Convention Center
Room 613 (6th floor)
What are you waiting for? You got something better to do on Thursday morning? I guarantee this will be the highlight of the conference. I don’t want to give away any of the surprises we have in store, but I will leave you with this thought.
Wardrobe malfunction.
See you there!
I disagree. Mr. Moderator, I stand completely against pudding wrapped in bacon. I stand for bacon wrapped in bacon, and free bacon-based health care. My opponent wants to use your tax dollars for this pudding filling, and I won’t stand for it. My database automation practices will be completely pudding-free.
Mr Ozar, I submit a compromise to you and Mr SQLBatman: low-fat pudding wrapped in turkey bacon. Like all good compromises, nobody will be happy with the result, least of all vegetarians.
Personally I still advocate Bacon Yogurt, and since I am from the midwest we’ll all agree I must be THE bacon/dairy expert.
