The Real SQL Server 2014 Power Feature (It May Not Be Hekaton)

webinarJust a quick post today to tell you about a webinar I am doing on the 27th of August, 2014. The title is “The Real SQL Server 2014 Power Feature (It May Not Be Hekaton)”, and it is me talking about the new cardinality estimator (CE) in SQL Server 2014.

You might recall that earlier this year I did a 2-part post on the new CE. You can click to read Part1 and Part2. I’ve also presented on this topic at TechEd and SQL Bits. If you haven’t had a chance to see either of those sessions, then tomorrow is your lucky day!

I continue to find SQL Server 2014 users that are shocked to discover that the new CE is causing them performance issues. I’ve already added this as a check to my SQL Server 2014 upgrade checklist in an effort to raise awareness that this is a significant and non-trivial change to the database engine.

Registration is free, and you can register by clicking here.
