Securing SQL Server

Got a pleasant surprise from UPS today about an hour ago. First up, they didn’t leave my package out in the melting snow and water, which was a nice change. Second, it was a book written by my good friend and model blogger Denny Cherry (blog | @mrdenny).

Why am I so excited about this book? Because of what is listed on the front page:

I was quite honored last year when Denny asked me to be the technical reviewer for his book. I was even more flattered that he asked for my name to be listed on the front page.

Denny, your first five shots of Jaeger are on me at the MVP Summit next week. Well, not really on me, that would be weird. But I bet after the third one there is a chance you are going to spill the next one anyway, so it might as well be on me, I suppose.

See you then, and thanks again for the opportunity. And for the rest of you, do yourself a favor and go buy a copy.

  1. Knowing you’ve written a terrific, much-needed book + securing an expert reviewer + 5 shots of jaeger = plenty of incentive to write another.
Congrats–I’ll have to check it out!
