Policy Based Management Podcast – Part 1

Brent Ozar (@BrentO) and I got together for a quick podcast on SQL 2008 Policy Based Management. In part one we discuss how to import the sample policies that are included with SQL 2008 by default (but not enabled), find some databases that Brent has placed the data and logs on the same drive, and show why PBM is about as close to liquid awesome as you can imagine.

There is not one bit of T-SQL code in this part, just an import of some XML files that can help any of the thousands of those accidental DBA’s out there.

And you can count how many times Brent yawns while I talk. Good times!
