I have updated the rankings, you can find them here. You will also find a lot of details on some of the changes, but I have also built a FAQ page that I am sure will no doubt be needed at some point.
I would like to share an email with you from Ryan, who dropped me a quick not last week. Ryan wrote:
I wanted to say thank you for posting your rankings of the SQL Bloggers. I’m currently a developer with dreams of becoming a DBA. I stumbled upon Brent Ozar’s blog, and he referenced your site (honestly, SQLBatman caught my eye). I’ve been trying to figure out who are the important bloggers in the SQL community, and your rankings have helped me add sites to follow.
Thanks again for posting your rankings and groups.
Have a good one.
Ryan
Ryan, you are most welcome. I am glad to be able to help others, especially people who are either new to the field or thinking about making the Leap. I have been thinking about just how much I enjoy helping beginners that I should write a book about how to make the transition as smooth as possible. I’ll go into a corner and not come out until I have about 50,000 words, give or take, and then pimp it to every publisher I know. And if they do not want to publish it, then I will make it into an eBook. In fact, I may just do that anyway.
And yes, not only will bacon be mentioned, but I will figure out a way to have the book smell like bacon, or be bound in pigskin. If it is an eBook, that could be tougher, but I will see what I can do.
